KERN MMT
Micro Machine Tabletop Model

Specific characteristics

The KERNMMT is a machine range that has been proven for years with over 400 machines in operation worldwide. An exceptional space saving design permits its installation even under extremely narrow room conditions. The KERN MMT requires a stable work-bench 1800 x 900 mm for its layout and can fit through standard doorframes.

The KERN MMT micro milling and drilling machine is specially designed for the following applications:
  • Positional and repetition accuracy with a precision of ± 0.001 mm
  • Milling in hardened steel, ceramics, plastics and other exotic materials
  • Prototype and small batch production with single or multi-part-clamping
  • Use of multiple spindles (spindle changing time max. 30 min)
  • Restricting room conditions with limited space
For these purposes KERN MMT can be fitted with a wide range of accessories and options, for example:
  • Various spindles in different speed ranges, including vector-controlled spindles
  • Dividing head (4th/5th axes) with analogue drives
  • Automatic tool changer (ATC) with 12 or 24 positions
  • Automatic measuring of workpiece by infrared touch probe (for vector-controlled spindle)
  • Automatic tool measuring with either a tool height probe or a laser measuring system for tool length and radius
